Aircraft Sheet Metal Worker

Our client requires a proficient Aircraft Sheet Metal Worker to join their structural repair team in Upington . This role involves fabricating, fitting, and installing sheet metal components for aircraft structures, including repairs and modifications. You will work with various metals and alloys, using specialized tools and techniques to ensure that all repairs meet stringent aviation standards for airworthiness and integrity.

This is a hands‑on position crucial for maintaining the structural soundness of the aircraft fleet and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

• Fabricate, form, and install sheet metal parts for aircraft structures, according to blueprints and specifications.
• Perform repairs and modifications to aircraft skin, structures, and bulkheads.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and repair schemes.
• Use precision measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools specific to sheet metal work.
• Ensure all work performed meets the highest standards of quality and aviation safety .
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to ensure structural integrity is maintained or enhanced.

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Sheet Metal Worker or in a similar fabrication role.
• Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques, including riveting, forming, and welding (if applicable).
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical data.
• Experience with various aircraft metals and alloys.
