Duties & Responsibilities
Resident Care & Clinical Management
Assess residents and develop individualised nursing care plans

Manage, monitor, and evaluate residents’ ongoing care and health status

Provide hands-on nursing care on a daily basis

Administer medication and treatments in accordance with prescriptions and protocols

Monitor nutrition, hydration, mobility, and overall wellbeing

Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate clinical records, reports, and incident documentation

Ensure compliance with nursing standards, policies, and procedures

Support infection control, safety, dignity, and confidentiality at all times

Communication & Advocacy
Communicate effectively with families, doctors, and the multidisciplinary team

Act as an advocate for residents, providing emotional support and reassurance

Assist with end-of-life care with compassion, dignity, and professionalism

Leadership & Support
Provide guidance, supervision, and in-service training to care staff

Promote a clean, safe, and caring environment

Lead by example and uphold high standards of clinical and ethical practice

Desired Experience & Qualification
Registered Nurse / Professional Nurse qualification

Current registration with SANC (South African Nursing Council)
Geriatric nursing experience (essential or highly advantageous)

Strong clinical knowledge and sound judgement

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Compassionate, patient, and professional approach to care

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to work shifts
