Enrolled Nurse - Mental Health

for an Enrolled Nurse - Psychiatric to be based in Plettenberg Bay, Garden Route, Western Cape.

multidisciplinary care to individuals experiencing addiction, substance abuse, eating disorders and

co-occurring psychiatric conditions. The centre is committed to rebuilding lives through hope,

patients can focus on recovery.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Enrolled Nurse with inpatient experience to join a dedicated

healthcare team within a specialised addiction treatment environment. The successful candidate

will provide compassionate nursing care, assist with patient care planning and monitoring, and

work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support positive patient outcomes.

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing addiction treatment.
• Administer medication and monitor patients' vital signs.
• Assist with the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care plans.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation.
• Participate in the education and support of patients and their families.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures and all relevant safety protocols.
• Promote a compassionate, respectful and patient-centred approach to care.
• Support the overall wellbeing and recovery of patients within the treatment environment.

• Qualification as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient nursing experience.
• Experience in addiction treatment, psychiatric or mental health nursing is required.
• Knowledge of addiction treatment and mental health care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High command of English.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate and patient-centred approach to nursing care.
• Willingness to work shifts.
