QC Laboratory Assistant

BIOVAC is one of the leading sterile vaccine manufacturers rooted in Africa, with our core purpose being to "protect life". We are looking to hire a dynamic, passionate, confident, proactive and meticulous QC Laboratory Assistant to join a goal-oriented team.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

• Matric certificate / grade 12 or equivalent.

NECESSARY EXPERIENCE & INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE:

• At least 1 years' experience within the pharmaceutical/ biotech manufacturing/ quality control or similar position.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and LIMS / ERP (SAP) systems.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

Core Technical Delivery:

• Assist in day-to-day laboratory operation requirements.
• Water sampling and bottle/label preparation.
• Follow the relevant Test methods and SOPs.
• Assistance with QC administrative tasks.
• Carry out specialized cleaning for graded areas.
• Maintain all required stock to ensure no delays in testing.
• Adhere to all QC Quality systems.
• Maintain housekeeping in Laboratory Preparation Areas.
• Ensure effective stocktaking.
• Develop or amend SOPs when required.
• Assigned areas/ equipment/ processes maintained as per cGMP/ GLP at all times.
• Participate in department audits and implement corrective actions where required.
• Contribute technical knowledge, experience and learning to quality team with respect to assigned equipment and/ or processes.
• Maintain up to date working knowledge of assigned equipment/ processes.
• Training competent back-up/ alternative staff.
• Perform duties as reasonably required, within your scope of practice.
