Guidewire Quality Engineer (Automation

Our Client is seeking for the Guidewire Quality Engineer to be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability and production readiness of solutions delivered on the Guidewire Cloud platform.

The role requires strong hands-on experience in Guidewire testing, quality engineering, test automation and integration testing, with the ability to work across functional and technical delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business and technical requirements to determine appropriate test coverage.
• Develop and maintain test scenarios, test cases and test data.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression and end-to-end testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites.
• Perform Guidewire Cloud deployment and release validation.
• Execute smoke and regression testing following deployments.
• Perform API and integration testing.
• Identify, document and manage defects through their lifecycle.
• Perform impact analysis and risk-based testing.
• Maintain requirement-to-test traceability.
• Support root-cause analysis of production and escaped defects.
• Contribute to release-readiness and Go/No-Go assessments.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, architects and Dev Ops teams.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve test efficiency, automation and quality.
• Promote shift-left testing and continuous quality engineering practices.

Test Automation

The Quality Engineer will:

• Identify suitable automation candidates.
• Develop and maintain automated tests.
• Use GT Framework and Selenium for automation.
• Maintain automation assets within Git Hub.
• Support automated execution through Git Hub Actions/CI/CD.
• Analyse automation failures.
• Improve automation reliability and coverage.
• Automate critical smoke and regression scenarios.
• Support continuous testing practices.

Test Management

Using Xray and Jira, the Quality Engineer will:

• Create and maintain test cases.
• Manage test executions and regression packs.
• Maintain requirement-to-test traceability.
• Record and manage defects.
• Track test coverage and execution progress.
• Maintain appropriate test evidence.
• Provide clear quality and testing status reporting.

Quality & Release Management

• Assess quality risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support release planning and readiness activities.
• Validate Guidewire Cloud deployments.
• Highlight outstanding defects and residual risks.
• Provide testing evidence supporting release decisions.
• Support post-deployment validation.
• Participate in production incident and root-cause analysis.
• Recommend preventative quality improvements.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' hands-on Guidewire experience
• Current Guidewire certification – mandatory
• Proven hands-on Guidewire Cloud experience
• Strong insurance-domain knowledge
• Strong Quality Engineering and testing experience
• Experience with test automation and CI/CD
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
