About the Role
Our client seeks a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join their pharmaceutical operations team in Cape Town . This role is crucial for ensuring that all products meet rigorous quality standards and regulatory compliance requirements. You will be involved in reviewing batch records, participating in audits, and contributing to the continuous improvement of quality systems. This hybrid position allows for a balance between in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, making it an ideal opportunity for a professional dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality control within a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Review and approve batch manufacturing records and associated documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Participate in internal and external audits , ensuring compliance with cGMP and other relevant regulations.
- Investigate deviations, out-of-specification results, and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Train personnel on quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in quality management software and documentation systems.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.
