About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Postdoctoral Research Fellow to contribute to groundbreaking research in genomics within their state-of-the-art facilities in Cape Town . This hybrid role offers a blend of independent research and collaborative work, focusing on understanding complex genetic mechanisms and their implications for disease. - Conduct independent research projects focused on genomic analysis and interpretation.
- Design and perform experiments using next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies.
- Analyze large-scale genomic datasets using advanced computational tools and statistical methods.
- Collaborate with principal investigators and other researchers on grant proposals and manuscript preparation.
- Present research findings at national and international scientific conferences.
Ph.D. in Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated experience in experimental design and execution of molecular biology techniques.
Proficiency in computational analysis of genomic data , including experience with relevant software and programming languages (e.g., R, Python).
Strong understanding of statistical principles applicable to biological research.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a track record of contributing to scientific publications.
