Research Scientist - Pharmacology

Our client is seeking a skilled Research Scientist specializing in Pharmacology to join their dedicated research team in Kimberley . This is an on-site position focused on advancing drug discovery and development through rigorous experimental work. You will design and conduct preclinical studies to evaluate the efficacy and safety of novel therapeutic compounds. You will work with state-of-the-art facilities and technologies, playing a key part in the progression of promising drug candidates through the development pipeline.

• Design and execute in vivo and in vitro pharmacology studies to assess drug candidates.
• Develop and validate bioassays for measuring drug activity and pharmacodynamics.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data, contributing to study reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with chemists and biologists to optimize drug candidates based on pharmacological profiles.
• Maintain detailed experimental records and adhere to ethical and regulatory guidelines.

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Toxicology, or a related life science discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in pharmacology research.
• Proficiency in performing various pharmacological assays and animal models.
• Strong understanding of drug discovery and development processes.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to work effectively in an on-site laboratory in Kimberley .
