AVI Limited, through its premium retail division Spitz Group, is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Store Manager to lead one of its luxury retail stores in Cape Town, South Africa. Key Job Responsibilities Customer Experience & Service Excellence- Deliver an exceptional luxury customer experience aligned with premium retail standards.
- Build long-term customer loyalty through outstanding service and relationship management.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
- Implement improvement plans using mystery shopper feedback and customer insights.
- Train staff continuously on customer engagement, premium selling techniques, and product knowledge.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop a high-performing retail team.
- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions and performance reviews.
- Manage employee productivity through Individual Performance Agreements (IPAs).
- Foster a positive workplace culture that encourages motivation and professional development.
- Recognize excellent performance while maintaining accountability and operational discipline.
- Drive sales performance and achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Monitor daily store sales, conversion rates, basket size, and profitability metrics.
- Ensure all team members contribute toward achieving store goals.
- Develop sales strategies to maximize customer spending and improve business performance.
- Analyze store income statements and financial performance to improve profitability.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day retail operations.
- Maintain excellent visual merchandising standards aligned with luxury brand identity.
- Manage inventory levels, stock movement, and replenishment planning.
- Oversee compliance with store procedures, operational controls, and internal policies.
- Ensure premium presentation standards are maintained throughout the store.
- Manage stock levels according to customer demand and sales forecasts.
- Monitor shrinkage, stock losses, and inventory discrepancies.
- Coordinate merchandising activities to optimize product visibility and customer engagement.
- Ensure store displays reflect brand prestige and current campaigns.
Deliver key performance indicators including:
- Trading density
- Sales conversion
- Basket size
- Salary-to-sales ratio
- Customer satisfaction
- Revenue growth
Align team objectives with broader company goals and premium brand expectations.
Education Requirements- Minimum Qualification:
Matric / Grade 12 (Essential) - Preferred
Qualification:
Tertiary Qualification in Retail Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or Commerce (Advantageous) - Additional certifications in retail leadership, customer relationship management, visual merchandising, fashion retail, or people management will be beneficial.
- Minimum 5 years of retail experience
- 12-18 months of management experience in a retail environment
