The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to perform and supervise financial accounting administrative services in line with the relevant legislation, regulations, frameworks and departmental policies and procedures.

A qualification at NQF level 6 (equivalent or higher qualification) as recognised by SAQA; A minimum of 1 year relevant experience in a relevant field.

• Provide effective and efficient expenditure and payment services;
• Monitor and report on financial transactions;
• Provide bookkeeping and financial accounting services;
• Provide salary administration and debt management services;
• Provide banking and cash management services;
• Supervisory functions.

Working knowledge and understanding of the following: Legislation, regulatory frameworks and policies;
Operational management practices;

Public service procedures, processes and systems;
Public Finance Management Act, National and Provincial Treasury Regulations, other financial policies, prescripts, directives and collective agreements;
