Junior Technical Sales Representative

Our client based in Cape Town , is looking for a Junior Technical Sales Representative in the adhesive industry focuses on finding and securing new business accounts for industrial glues, sealants, and bonding materials. They typically sell to manufacturing, packaging, automotive, woodworking, and construction companies, learning to match technical product specs with client needs under the guidance of senior managers.

• Generate Leads:
  Cold-call and email local manufacturing, packaging, automotive, and construction firms to find new buyers.
• Conduct Product Demos:
  Show potential clients how different adhesives, tapes, or sealants perform under specific conditions (e.g., heat, stress, moisture).
• Sample Management:
  Coordinate the delivery of adhesive product samples to technical teams for customer testing and approval.
• Process Quotes:
  Work with the technical and pricing teams to issue accurate quotes for bulk orders.
• Manage CRM:
  Update client details, order history, and follow-up notes in the company's customer relationship management system.
• On-Site Visits:
  Visit factories, workshops, or building sites alongside senior reps to evaluate client assembly lines and bonding needs.

• Ability to learn
• Strong verbal and written skills to explain product specifications clearly to factory managers or purchasing agents.
• A high-energy, goal-oriented mindset capable of handling rejection during cold outreach.
• A valid driver's licence, reliable car and willingness to travel locally to visit industrial zones and client plants.
• A matric certificate/high school diploma; a basic background or qualification in chemistry, engineering, or business is highly advantageous
