Role DescriptionThe Brand & Sales Ambassador role is a full-time position based on the Reyneke estate in Stellenbosch, with regular travel across South Africa to visit trade clients and attend wine shows and events. This role is responsible for representing Reyneke in the market, building brand awareness, and driving sales through direct engagement with retailers, restaurants, distributors, and consumers. Day-to-day tasks include conducting tastings and presentations, visiting key accounts, supporting events and promotions, and communicating the winery's organic and biodynamic philosophy.
The Brand & Sales Ambassador will collaborate with the sales and marketing team to implement brand strategies, gather market feedback, and maintain accurate sales and activity reports. The role also involves nurturing long-term customer relationships, ensuring exceptional service, and acting as a knowledgeable and professional spokesperson for Reyneke.
- Strong brand representation and sales skills, including relationship building, account management, and customer service.
- General knowledge of wine, viticulture, and sustainable or organic practices, with the ability to communicate technical concepts in an accessible way. Effective communication and presentation skills, including public speaking, storytelling, and confident engagement with diverse audiences.
- Organizational and planning abilities, such as managing schedules, coordinating events, and maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Comfort with basic digital tools and platforms for reporting and communication (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentation software).
- Prior experience in wine sales, hospitality, retail, or brand ambassadorship is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Stellenbosch, travel domestically to clients, wine shows and events on a regular basis, and work evenings or weekends.
- You will need a valid driver's license and reliable transport
- formal wine education (e.g., WSET or similar) is an advantage.
