Grade CCTV Controller

Job Purpose

The Control Centre CCTV Operator will be responsible for ensuring effective monitoring of all cameras, promptly identifying and responding to security incidents, and maintaining a secure environment for the client. They will dispatch armed response vehicles and EMS or SAPS when necessary, download footage required for prosecutions, and complete any required statements. They will keep detailed records and report daily activities to the client.

The role is based in Stellenbosch, full‑time, and candidates must have their own transport.

• Emergency Response:
  • Contact emergency or relevant emergency providers as needed.
  • Coordinate with security personnel and emergency responders during incidents.
• Incident Response:
  • Respond promptly to security incidents by reacting to the situation and taking appropriate action.
  • Coordinate with security personnel and responders to address potential threats or breaches.
  • Maintain detailed incident logs and provide accurate and timely reports to the appropriate authorities.
• System Maintenance:
  • Conduct regular checks on surveillance equipment, alarm systems, and monitoring systems.
  • Report any malfunctions, faults, or irregularities to the designated technical support team and Control Centre manager.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of surveillance activities, incidents, and responses.
  • Generate detailed reports for management summarizing daily activities and incidents.
• Surveillance Monitoring:
  • Operate and monitor CCTV systems, including Exocortex & Axis to ensure continuous observation of designated areas.
  • Detect and analyze suspicious activities or security breaches through surveillance cameras.

• Candidate must reside in the Somerset-West, Strand or Stellenbosch area.
• Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in Afrikaans and English.
• Working hours:
  
  17h00 to 05h00.
• Candidate must have sober habits.

• Excellent communication abilities, ability to remain clear‑headed during heated moments, and make split‑second decisions.
• Must ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to surveillance activities and stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.

• Minimum of PSIRA grade A security qualification.
• 2+ years CCTV monitoring experience; dispatching experience required.
