MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure the safety and security of Mediclinic personnel and visitors, property and to transport and escort patients, equipment, files and related items between different departments of a hospital

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Control access to entrances and direct clients to correct locations

Perform patrols and inspections

Assist with emergency evacuations

Transport and escort patients safely to pre-determined location

General Administration (completing log books, mail distribution)

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL

EDUCATION:

Grade 12 or Grade 10 with 5 years extensive experience in the security environment

DESIRED

EDUCATION:

Grade 12

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

Security industry experience

DESIRED

EXPERIENCE:

Four years’ experience in security industry will be an added advantage

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Cold room legislation

Security Legislation (e.g. PSIRA)

Patient Rights Charter

Medico Legal Risk (e.g. infection control and patient safety)

Kinetic handling principles

Two,way radio systems

Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
