Community Support Facilitator

About the Role

Our client is seeking an empathetic and proactive Community Support Facilitator to join their team in Cape Town . This role focuses on empowering individuals and families within the community by connecting them with resources and support networks. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing programs that address social challenges and promote community well-being. This hybrid position requires a blend of on-site engagement within the Cape Town community and remote coordination, offering flexibility while ensuring crucial face-to-face interaction and outreach.

You will contribute to building stronger, more resilient communities through dedicated service and effective resource linkage.

• Assess the needs of community members and connect them with appropriate social services and resources.
• Develop and facilitate workshops and group sessions focused on life skills, health, and empowerment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local organizations, NGOs, and government agencies.
• Assist clients in navigating complex systems to access housing, employment, and healthcare.
• Document client interactions, progress, and outcomes in a secure database.
• Organize and coordinate community outreach events and initiatives.

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in community work or social support.
• Strong understanding of social issues affecting communities in Cape Town .
• Excellent networking, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work model.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the community.
