We’re looking for a skilled Senior AI Developer (Serverless & AWS) based in Cape Town to join our AI & Automation team, building intelligent, serverless solutions that power marketing automation at scale.

You’ll work at the intersection of AI, cloud infrastructure, and modern software engineering to design agent‑based systems that deliver measurable impact.

This is a hands‑on role with a strong focus on AWS‑native architectures, language models and autonomous agents. You’ll be part of a distributed, cross‑functional team shaping how AI transforms marketing.

• Build and deploy AI‑driven systems and agents using AWS serverless services (Lambda, Step Functions, Dynamo
  
  DB, Event Bridge, etc.)
• Integrate and fine‑tune LLMs via Amazon Bedrock and apply NLP techniques for real‑world use cases
• Design and optimize prompts to enhance LLM performance
• Work with vector databases and integrate data pipelines for structured and unstructured data
• Ensure secure, scalable, and cloud‑native architectures using infrastructure as code
• Collaborate across engineering and data teams to deliver production‑ready solutions
• Apply architectural best practices (stateful vs. stateless, serverless vs. containerized)

• 5+ years of experience in software development, 2+ in AI / ML
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, IAM, Bedrock, Step Functions, Cloud Watch, etc.)
• Proven experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI agent design
• Solid Python skills and experience with Git / Git Hub workflows
• Understanding of serverless architectures and MLOps practices
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or Cloud Formation)
• Understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from planning to deployment
• Cloud‑native mindset with a preference for managed services and infrastructure‑as‑code approaches
• Comfortable working in agile, distributed teams

• Experience with Lang Chain, CrewAI, Lang Graph, or similar agent frameworks
• Familiarity with vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma
  
  DB)
• Knowledge of model training, fine‑tuning, or frameworks like PyTorch / Tensor Flow
• Relevant AWS certification(s) like AWS Certified AI Practitioner
