This entry-level Junior Developer role is ideal for a graduate or early-career developer looking to start their professional journey in a fast-moving Fintech environment.

The role is responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of internal and customer-facing software systems
, while working closely with experienced developers and adhering to company policies, procedures, and South African labour legislation. You will engage with the following inter alia:

• Support the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code following best practices
• Assist with REST API integrations and database queries
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and bugs
• Maintain and update technical documentation
• Participate in the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Attend team meetings and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders

• As above in the overview, support development, testing, maintenance of software applications
• Contribute to SDLC activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Adhere to coding standards and best practices

• Relevant IT qualification, degree, diploma, or equivalent practical experience
• Understanding of web development fundamentals
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Java Script
• Basic database knowledge (MySQL preferred)
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude

• Strong problem solving ability
