Mobile Developer

Cape Town (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Contract Position

Bluegrass Digital is looking for a strong Mobile Developer to join our delivery team on a contract basis. We're looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, builds scalable mobile applications, and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to create high-quality digital products.

You'll work on exciting projects across industries, partnering with designers, developers, QA, and product teams to deliver exceptional mobile experiences.

• Develop and maintain high-quality mobile applications
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and backend developers
• Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable code
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
• Ensure code quality through testing and peer reviews
• Contribute to CI/CD and release processes
• Stay up to date with mobile development trends and best practices

• React Native
• Flutter
• Kotlin / Android Development
• Swift / iOS Development
• Additional experience with:
• REST APIs and third-party integrations
• Firebase and push notifications
• Git version control
• Agile/Scrum environments
• App Store / Google Play deployments
• CI/CD pipelines

• 5+ years of mobile development experience
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture and performance optimization
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team
• Strong communication skills
• A proactive problem-solver with attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (3 days onsite)

• Experience working in digital agencies or consulting environments
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Experience building enterprise or customer-facing apps
• UI/UX sensitivity and strong product thinking
