About the Role

Software Engineer – Backend – Hybrid / Remote (Somerset, South Africa). At Cyber Sentriq, we build secure, cloud‑native technologies that protect organisations globally. We are expanding our engineering team and looking for a .NET Developer passionate about building scalable, secure applications while embracing modern AI‑driven development.

As a .NET Developer, you will design, build, and optimise cloud‑based applications that underpin our core cyber security products. You’ll work cross‑functionally with Product, Design, QA, and Operations to deliver high‑quality, secure features that directly impact customer experience and platform reliability. This role is ideal for developers who thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy solving complex problems, and want to accelerate their growth by working with advanced technologies, including AI‑enabled development tooling and automated security controls.

• Design, develop, and maintain robust .NET applications using the latest cloud technologies, with a focus on security and data integrity.
• Work closely with Development, Product Design, QA, and Operations to define requirements and deliver high‑quality, secure features.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to security best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues, prioritising security and data protection.
• Stay current with industry trends in cyber security and data management, sharing insights with the team.
• Perform Dev Ops duties, maintaining secure and reliable code in production environments.

• 2‑3 years solid experience with .NET and C#.
• Familiarity with agile development frameworks (e.g., SCRUM).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Experience with CI/CD automation and tools.
• Understanding of modern development best practices, standards, and patterns.
