Python​/Django Developer

Job Description

You will join our team as a Full-Stack Developer based in Cape Town. As part of our community, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of client-facing applications, working two days a week in the CBD office. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders, designing robust solutions, and leveraging your expertise in both backend and frontend technologies to deliver high-quality projects.

• Design, develop, and maintain client-facing applications using Python and Django/Flask frameworks
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and Graph
  
  QL endpoints
• Develop and enhance front‑end features using React
• Manage and optimize SQL databases for application performance
• Implement authentication solutions such as JSON Web Tokens or similar tools
• Collaborate with the team to ensure robust version and source control using Github
• Participate in the automation of processes and integration of AI tools where applicable
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions

• Experience in full‑stack development with client‑facing applications (5+ years)
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with Django or Flask frameworks
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and GraphQL
• Proficient in React
• Experience with SQL databases
• Good understanding of Github for version and source control
• Experience with authentication tools such as JSON Web Tokens
• Experience with generative AI tools and automation is highly advantageous
• English fluent
