About FIXR

Here at FIXR we’re on a mission to be the number one ticketing and event intelligence platform globally. Ticket sales and event management can be a clunky, manual process, but our platform makes it easier than ever for event organisers to create seamless, user-friendly experiences for their customers. At the heart of the FIXR platform is our suite of data and reporting tools that provide organisers with the insights and data intelligence to help them understand their ticket buying audience and grow their business.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in South Africa as we continue to grow and expand into new areas of ticketing. The role is based in Cape Town, but you will work closely with our teams in other countries.

Engineering drives everything we build. We’re looking for people who are practical, adaptable, and comfortable owning work from idea through to production.

As a small team, we move quickly and work across a wide range of problems. You’ll need to be comfortable switching contexts, making sensible trade-offs, and delivering value without over-engineering.

Key responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:

• Build and ship new features on top of our existing platform

• Improve core systems to increase performance, reduce complexity, and enable faster development

• Contribute to technical design and architecture decisions

• Collaborate with Product and Design to scope work and define pragmatic solutions

• Provide input on planning, trade-offs, and timelines

• Maintain code quality through thoughtful reviews and shared ownership

Core Tech Stack:

• Python - Django, Django Rest Framework

• PostgreSQL

The rest of our backend tech stack is:

• Celery

• Elasticsearch

• Redis

• Docker / Kubernetes / Helm / ArogoCD

This role reports to the CTO of FIXR
