Software Engineer AI

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join our technology team in Cape Town. You’ll work across the full stack — building and maintaining robust backend services in C#/.NET, developing modern front-end experiences with Type Script and JavaScript, and integrating AI-driven capabilities into products. This role also involves working with AWS to build and scale cloud-native solutions.

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET
• Develop responsive, high-quality front-end applications using Type Script and Java Script
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities, including LLM-based features and intelligent automation, into existing and new products
• Build and manage cloud integrations and infrastructure on AWS
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and data, to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code and participate in code reviews
• Contribute to architectural decisions and help improve engineering practices

• Strong hands-on experience with C# / .NET
• Solid experience with Type Script and Java Script
• Practical experience integrating or building with AI/ML technologies
• Experience with AWS services and cloud integration patterns
• Based in or willing to work from Cape Town
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an agile, collaborative environment
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
• Nice to Have Experience in financial services, insurance, or other regulated industries
• Exposure to microservices architecture and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
