Software Engineer, Machine Learning​/ ML Engineer, Python

• Build or enhance products in an iterative, fast-moving environment
• Bring state-of-the-art AI models to farming operations around the world
• Collaborate closely with the product team to understand users and prioritize desired features
• Deliver technology solving difficult agricultural problems
• Develop software influencing operational and agricultural decisions about physical crops
• Work with growers, packhouse managers, fruit exporters, and business decision makers
• Use Python with Django REST Framework for backend development
• Use React, Type Script, and React Native for frontend development
• Work with modern machine learning technologies including Hugging Face and Vision Transformers
• Develop and maintain infrastructure on AWS using modern tooling

• Demonstrated experience solving complex technical problems at tech and product-driven companies
• Practical experience building production software systems
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline)
• Highly proactive and critical approach to problem solving
• Ability to work independently and take initiative from idea to execution
• Ability to move fast in loosely defined environments with competing priorities or deadlines
• Ability to balance technical exploration with practical delivery
• Proficiency in the stated technologies
• Some experience with relational databases
• Ambition and strong motivation to make an impact in Ag Tech
• Ability to work in-person with the team 3 days a week
