We don't need someone to talk about AI. We need someone who can build with it.
A large, progressive independent motor retail group with 30+ dealerships representing some of the country's most in-demand automotive brands is looking for an exceptional AI Product Developer to help shape the next generation of its technology and business processes.
This isn't a traditional IT support role.
We're looking for a genuine builder and problem solver – someone who can understand how different dealership systems operate, identify where technology can make them work better together, and then develop the integrations and AI-driven solutions to make it happen.
You’ll be working in a fast-moving motor retail environment where technology, automation and AI are viewed as business tools, not buzzwords
.
Your primary focus will be developing and implementing AI solutions and system integrations across the group's operations.
You’ll work with platforms such as Signio, Keyloop, Kerridge, CMS and Autobid
, alongside AI technologies, APIs and data tools, to create better connections between systems and improve the way information moves through the business.
That could mean identifying a repetitive manual process and automating it, connecting systems that currently don't communicate effectively, improving data flow, or developing an entirely new AI-driven solution to an operational problem.
The objective is simple:
Less friction. Better data. Smarter processes. Greater efficiency.
We’re looking for someone who can:- Develop
, not merely administer, software and AI solutions - Build and maintain APIs and integrations between multiple business systems
- Understand complex workflows and translate business problems into technical solutions
- Work with data to create practical automation and improve operational efficiency
- Test, troubleshoot and refine integrations until they work reliably in a real-world environment
- Identify opportunities where AI can deliver measurable business value
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Take ownership of projects and drive them from idea to implementation
You’ll need:
- An NQF-level qualification in IT, Software Development, Computer Science or a related field
- Proven hands-on experience in AI product development, software development and/or system integration
- Strong practical experience with APIs and connecting multiple systems
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving ability
- Experience with data management and automation
- Strong Excel capability
- Valid Code 8 Driver's Licence
Experience with
Signio, Keyloop, Kerridge, CMS and/or Autobird will be highly advantageous, as will previous exposure to the motor retail/dealership environment
.
Someone curious.
Someone who doesn't accept “that's just how the system works” as an answer.
You’ll need to be innovative, analytical and technically strong
, but also commercially aware enough to understand that the cleverest solution isn't necessarily the best one – the best solution is the one that solves the business problem and actually gets used.
This is a large dealership group with an ambitious, forward-thinking leadership team, so expectations are high. You’ll need to be comfortable with pace, accountability and being challenged to produce exceptional work
.
The opportunity to see what you build being used across a real business – and potentially across more than 30 dealerships.
Someone who can invest your time and work on problems at scale, on a platform used by tens of thousands of professionals in the automotive industry.
Open to South African Citizens only and this is an on-site position.
