Senior AI Software Engineer - Computer Vision

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Software Engineer with a specialization in Computer Vision to join their innovative team in Kimberley . You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced AI solutions that leverage computer vision technologies for a variety of applications. This role requires a deep understanding of machine learning, image processing, and software development best practices.

You will play a key role in advancing the company's capabilities in AI and contributing to impactful projects within the technologically evolving landscape of the Northern Cape .

• Develop and optimize computer vision algorithms for tasks such as object detection, image segmentation, and feature extraction.
• Implement and integrate ML models for computer vision tasks using frameworks like Tensor Flow, PyTorch, and OpenCV.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for AI applications and systems.
• Collaborate with research scientists and other engineers to translate concepts into production-ready software.
• Work with large datasets, including image and video data, for model training and evaluation.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of AI systems, ensuring scalability and performance.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on AI/Computer Vision.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a significant focus on AI and computer vision.
• Strong programming skills in Python and C++, with experience in relevant libraries (OpenCV, Scikit-image).
• Proficiency with deep learning frameworks (Tensor Flow, PyTorch) and their application to computer vision.
• Solid understanding of image processing techniques, machine learning fundamentals, and algorithm optimization.
• Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
