• Mentor and guide a team of junior and senior developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement and enforce coding standards, best practices, and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the e-commerce ecosystem.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and integration.
• Ensure the security and integrity of customer data and payment processing systems.

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in web development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or team lead role.
• Extensive experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, Shopify Plus, custom-built solutions) and their underlying technologies.
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., PHP, Python, JavaScript) and frameworks (e.g., Laravel, React, Node.js).
• Strong understanding of database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and API integrations.
• Demonstrated experience in leading development teams, project management, and agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to architect complex systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Must be able to work on-site in Cape Town, Western Cape .
