Lead Frontend Developer - React Specialist

Our client, a dynamic software solutions provider, is searching for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Frontend Developer to spearhead their development efforts in Cape Town, Western Cape . • Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex frontend features using React and related technologies.
• Architect scalable and maintainable frontend codebases.
• Mentor and guide junior frontend developers, conducting code reviews and providing technical leadership.
• Collaborate with backend developers, designers, and product managers to define and implement user stories.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks and bugs.
• Champion best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and propose their adoption where beneficial.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical strategy.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional frontend development experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior technical role.
• Extensive experience with JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS

• Deep expertise in React.js and its ecosystem (e.g., Redux, Context API).
• Proven experience with state management, component libraries, and frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel).
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with Type Script is highly desirable.
