Overview

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking an experienced Import Airfreight Supervisor to join their team in the Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding logistics and a thorough understanding of import airfreight operations.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the import airfreight operations, including receiving, routing, and dispatching shipments

Coordinate with carriers, customs agents, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods

Provide guidance and support to the import airfreight team, including training, performance evaluations, and scheduling

Monitor and analyze import airfreight processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements, including customs clearance procedures

Maintain accurate records of import airfreight shipments and prepare reports for management

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field

Minimum 10 years of relevant International Trade (Import Air) and freight forwarding experience

Dangerous Goods awareness

Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import procedures, and airfreight documentation requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software
