Transport Manager - Cold Storage exp

Our client in the logistics and supply chain arean is urgently searching for a Transport Manager - from a multi-temperature/cold storage environment. If you are an experienced Transport Manager with a strong background in distribution, FMCG, warehousing or QSR and are ready to take ownership of a large-scale transport operation, we would like to hear from you.

Minimum Requirements

• 5–7 years' management experience within transport, warehousing, distribution, QSR or FMCG.
• Proven experience in:
  • Shift management
  • People management
  • Disciplinary enquiries
  • Health & Safety management
  • Contingency planning
  • Continuous improvement and best-practice implementation
  • Multi-temperature transport operations
  • Complex, multi-site and multi-disciplinary environments
• Experience managing large operations and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in an organisation with 400+ employees will be advantageous.
• Grade 12 with Higher Grade Mathematics.
• Tertiary qualification in Transport or a related field is mandatory.
• Honours qualification would be advantageous.
• Strong computer literacy is required, including:
  • MS Office – particularly Advanced Exce
  • PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and MS Project
  • Advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience
  • Accounting software experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains will be advantageous.
