Position Overview:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Administrator to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa. The Logistics Administrator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of goods and services to our clients. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and development within the company.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and monitor all aspects of the logistics process, including transportation, inventory management, and customer orders
- Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and carriers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and delivery schedules
- Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure proper stock levels and efficient storage and handling of goods
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may arise
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs forms, and invoices
- Assist in the development and implementation of logistics strategies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of logistics activities
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns related to logistics operations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in logistics administration or a similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics management software
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures is a plus
- Experience in the transportation industry is preferred.
