Logistics Driver - Retail Distribution

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Logistics Driver to manage retail distribution routes throughout the Cape Town area. This position is essential for ensuring that our retail partners receive their stock on time and in excellent condition. You will be a key player in our supply chain, directly impacting the availability of products for consumers. • Execute daily delivery schedules for retail clients across the Cape Town metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
• Ensure accurate loading and unloading of goods, verifying delivery manifests.
• Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned delivery vehicle.
• Provide excellent customer service to retail partners, addressing any immediate delivery-related queries.
• Report any deviations from the route, delays, or issues with delivered goods to the logistics manager.
• Operate delivery vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and company safety policies.

• Valid professional driver's license (Code 14 preferred) with an excellent driving record.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a commercial driving or logistics role.
• Familiarity with Cape Town 's geographical layout and traffic patterns.
• Physical ability to handle goods, including lifting up to 30 kg.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proof of professional driving certification or permits.

• An annual salary of R160,000, with opportunities for review.
