Warehouse Operations & Inventory Controller

Our brand is trusted by leading retailers and online customers across the country. We are looking for a Warehouse Operations & Inventory Controller to take ownership of our warehouse operations and inventory accuracy. This role is critical to ensuring efficient stock flow, accurate inventory management, and reliable fulfilment across all sales channels.

Job Title: Warehouse Operations & Inventory Controller

Position Type: Full Time

Area: Diep River, Cape Town

Working Hours: 8:30am - 17:00pm (Monday - Friday)

• Matric certificate
• Must be South African registered or have valid work papers
• Valid driver s license (it would be a benefit)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be fluent in English
• Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in warehouse operations or inventory control
• Experience with Shopify, Takealot, inventory management, or similar platforms preferred
• Experience in the Bicycle, Running, Sports, or Wearable Tech industry preferred
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and organisation
• Reliable, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Proven experience managing stock accuracy and fulfilment workflows
• Experience supervising staff or leading warehouse teams
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working with inventory systems, Shopify, or similar platforms
• Basic reporting and spreadsheet skills (Excel / Google Sheets)
• Physically capable of hands-on warehouse work when required
• Calm, structured, and reliable under pressure

• Take full accountability for inventory accuracy across all SKUs and warehouse locations
• Oversee receiving, unpacking, over packing, binning, and booking-in of stock
• Ensure all products are processed according to internal quality and over packing guidelines
• Manage order fulfilment for Shopify, e-commerce marketplaces, and brick-and-mortar retail stores
• Prioritise and coordinate orders across multiple sales channels to meet dispatch timelines
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, variances, or process failures
• Plan, conduct, and reconcile routine and full stock takes
• Supervise, train, and allocate tasks to warehouse assistants and casual staff
• Maintain warehouse organisation, safety, and efficiency at all times
• Work closely with management to support replenishment planning and operational improvements
• Invoicing and crediting of orders
