Operations Manager Job Cape Town area,South Africa,Warehouse

Key requirements:

Grade 12 with Higher Grade Mathematics
Relevant tertiary Diploma / Degree / Qualification
5–7 years' relevant experience in Warehousing / Distribution
, ideally within FMCG, QSR or a similar high-volume environment
.
Exposure should include:
- Warehouse & Distribution Shift Management
- Transport Management
- Inventory flow
- Supply Chain Management
- People Management
- Disciplinary processes
- Health & Safety Management
- Facility & Asset Management
- Contingency Planning
- Continuous Improvement / Best Practice
- Management of multi-temperature stock
- Complex, multi-site or multi-disciplinary operations
- Experience with in large organisations and teams of 400+ employees
Strong systems capability in
- MS Office
- Advanced Excel
- Advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Accounting / ERP systems experience
- Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is ideal

Key Responsibilities ;

As Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the Distribution Centre operates safely, efficiently, accurately and within budget
. This is a Senior Management opportunity reporting directly to the General Manager
, with responsibility for the overall performance and well-being of the Distribution Centre's receiving, storage, transport and picking functions.
