Our logistics client is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take overall responsibility for the performance of a busy Distribution Centre — leading receiving, storage, transport and picking operations while driving operational excellence across the warehouse.
This is a role for someone who has managed 400+ employees!

• Grade 12 with Higher Grade Mathematics
• Relevant tertiary Diploma / Degree / Qualification
• 5–7 years' relevant experience in Warehousing / Distribution
  , ideally within FMCG, QSR or a similar high-volume environment
  .

  • Management of multi-temperature stock
  • Complex, multi-site or multi-disciplinary operations
  • Experience with in large organisations and teams of 400+ employees
• Strong systems capability in
  • MS Office
  • Advanced Excel
  • Advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Accounting / ERP systems experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is ideal

As Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the Distribution Centre operates safely, efficiently, accurately and within budget

This is a Senior Management opportunity reporting directly to the General Manager
, with responsibility for the overall performance and well-being of the Distribution Centre's receiving, storage, transport and picking functions.
