Description:
Manager need qualified Med/Surg night-shift agency candidates who have recent travel experience, Med/Surg experience, and are familiar with Epic.
4 Medical is a 25-bed unit, 11 are private rooms and 7 semi-private.
Nursing ratio is 5:1 on days and 5-6:1 on nights, with nurses occasionally having 1 total care patient.
We get a wide variety of patients, but our biggest population is stroke patients; we get most strokes that don't need TPA and comfort care or hospice patients. We also get a variety of post-operative patients, including amputations, drains, chest tubes, and feeding tubes. We get heparin drips, wound care, altered mental status, CIWA patients, Aki, dialysis, and COPD exacerbations.
