SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic sales professional with a proven track record of success in the biopharmaceutical/medical device sector. As an Account Manager, you will promote our psychiatry portfolio to primary care and neurology stakeholders, executing sales and marketing strategies to drive performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Business Planning & Account Leadership: Use digital tools and data‑based insights to create opportunities, develop strategy and tactics, allocate resources, monitor progress and adjust direction.
- Selling: Deliver compelling messages, probe customer needs, manage objections and close every call with a commitment to action.
- Customer Development: Build and maintain productive internal and external relationships, incorporating “total office” account management where applicable.
- Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise: Gather key market trends, map account linkages and apply therapeutic knowledge to uncover opportunities.
- Reimbursement: Stay informed on reimbursement dynamics and address payer access issues for IDNs, Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payers.
- Pharmaceutical Environment/Compliance: Apply knowledge of regulations, adhere to Lundbeck policies and FDA regulations in promotion.
- Bachelor of Arts or Sciences from an accredited college or university.
- 2–5 years experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device or related healthcare sales.
- Strong ability to score highly on disease and product training exams; certified on product knowledge annually.
- Self‑starter, strong work ethic, tenacity and outstanding communication skills.
- Adaptability and ability to embrace change in a fast‑paced team.
- Problem‑solving: analytical skills for identifying solutions.
- Data analysis: strong computer and technical skills for developing goals.
- Must live within 40 miles of territory boundaries.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record; driving is essential.
- Meet credentialing requirements for healthcare providers or customer facilities.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Experience selling to general practitioners and primary care centers.
- Experience promoting CNS/neuroscience products.
- Experience working with alliance partners (e.g., co‑promotions).
- Travel 30–40% domestically to meet customers, attend conferences and meetings within the U.S.
Annual base salary range: $108,000–$125,000, with a sales incentive target of $39,000. Benefits include flexible PTO; medical, dental and vision; company 401(k) match; company car; and additional benefits available on the career site.
