Administratively responsible to the Supervisor and/or the Assistant Supervisor on duty, the Resident Assistant is responsible for carrying out the assigned programs to individuals of the Intermediate Care Facility Program (ICF/). A minimum of 85% of work‑time is spent in direct individual contact.

Assigned duties are implemented in a manner appropriate to the age‑specific needs of the individuals served.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Two (2) years experience working with intellectually/developmentally disabled individuals preferred.

• Must be cleared by PA State Police criminal history check.
• Must pass post‑job offer pre‑placement physical exam; and initial and subsequent annual TB screenings.
• CPR certification must be obtained and maintained.
• Must adhere to established company/program policies and procedures and regulations relating to safety and infection control.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills required for effective communication with individuals on caseload, families, outside agency representatives and program staff.
• As determined by facility and work schedule, valid USA driver's license may be required for frequent and unscheduled travel to fulfill position responsibilities, i.e., individual programming, transport, and appointments.
• Must successfully complete Allied’s Driver Training Program, as stated by policy #2.43.
