Manufacturing General Laborer

Job Description

As a Manufacturing General Laborer, you will support production operations in a team environment through material handling and general production activities. You will take direction from a team lead, safely operate light production machinery, use general hand tools, and help maintain a safe and productive workplace. This role offers steady work on four 10-hour day shifts, available overtime, a competitive starting rate of $17.00 or more per hour, and opportunities for cross-training across departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide general production support across manufacturing operations.
• Handle materials and push or pull heavy objects on the production line.
• Safely operate light production machinery after equipment-specific training.
• Use general hand tools as directed.
• Follow instructions from the team lead and work effectively within a team.
• Maintain safe work practices after completing general safety orientation.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A few months to one year of related experience.
• Ability to lift 50–70 pounds.
• Ability to remain on your feet for most of the shift.
• Ability to push and pull heavy objects on a production line.

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of manufacturing production experience.
• Experience using hand tools and performing material handling.
• Quality control inspection experience.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
• Physical stamina and the ability to follow instructions.
• Teamwork skills.
