About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to manage a diverse portfolio of clients, overseeing the preparation of financial statements under FRS
102 and IFRS. The role involves leading audits with minimal supervision, ensuring deadlines are met, and actively contributing to client meetings.

You will be responsible for financial management, including WIP, billing, and debt control, while also developing and mentoring upcoming audit talent. Additionally, you will play a key role in business development by maintaining client relationships and fostering new opportunities. A competent technical background and the ability to independently research and resolve complex issues is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients and oversee the preparation of financial statements (FRS
    102 and IFRS).
  • Lead audits with minimal supervision, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Contribute to client meetings and presentations.
  • Control financial aspects of the engagement, including WIP, billing, and debt control.
  • Develop and mentor audit team members.
  • Engage in business development activities, maintaining client relationships and fostering new opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
  • ACA/ACCA-qualified Audit Manager with grounded experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Competent technical understanding of accounting and auditing standards.
  • Experience leading group audits and preparing consolidated accounts.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong technical understanding of accounting and auditing standards.
  • Experience with Case Ware or Mercia methodologies is desirable.
