We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our expanding audit team based in our Cardiff office.
What’s the Role AboutAs Audit Manager you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, oversee the preparation of financial statements under FRS
102 and IFRS, lead audits with minimal supervision, ensure deadlines are met, and actively contribute to client meetings. You will be responsible for financial management, including WIP, billing and debt control, as well as developing and mentoring upcoming audit talent.
You will also play a key role in business development by maintaining client relationships and fostering new opportunities. A competent technical background and the ability to independently research and resolve complex issues is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Prepare financial statements under FRS
102 and IFRS. - Lead audits with minimal supervision, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Conduct client meetings and manage client relationships.
- Financial management: WIP, billing and debt control.
- Develop and mentor audit talent.
- Identify business development opportunities.
- Solid experience in an accountancy practice working in an audit focused role.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong client and team relationships.
- Ability to manage complicated projects and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong technical understanding of accounting and auditing standards.
- Experience in leading group audits and the preparation of consolidated accounts.
- Previous use of Case Ware or Mercia methodologies is desirable.
- ACA/ACCA qualified Audit Manager.
- Grounded experience in an accountancy practice in an audit focused role.
- Experience leading group audits and preparing consolidated accounts.
- Competent technical understanding of accounting and auditing standards.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Highly organised, proactive problem‑solver.
