Job OverviewThe Purchase Leger Clerk will be responsible for processing and matching invoices to purchase order numbers and goods receipt notes on the job system, communicating with suppliers, setting up new supplier accounts, reviewing supplier statements, and verifying subcontractor tax status.
Responsibilities- Process and match invoices to purchase orders on the job system
- Process and match invoices to goods receipt notes on the job system
- Handle approximately 6000 purchase invoices and 1000 subcontractor invoices per month
- Communicate with suppliers regarding any disputed items
- Set up new supplier accounts and subcontractor accounts
- Review supplier statements and reconcile them with the accounts package
- Verify subcontractor tax status via the HMRC portal
- Experience carrying out the role or a similar role
- Strong IT skills
