Accounts & Finance Coordinator (Part Time)

Location: Excel Water, Unit 1B Kiln Park, Allerton Bywater, WF10 2FX

Hours: Part Time – 16 hours per week

Salary: Competitive salary depending on experience.

About the Role

Excel Water is a family-owned engineering business based in Allerton Bywater, supplying industrial water treatment equipment and services throughout the UK. We’re a friendly, growing team that values honesty, professionalism and supporting one another.

We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Finance Coordinator to join our growing team. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will confidently manage the day-to‑day financial administration of the business, ensuring accurate financial records, effective cash flow management, and timely financial reporting.

We’re looking for someone with solid accounts or bookkeeping experience who can quickly become a trusted part of the team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working independently and wants to play a key role in supporting the financial success of a growing business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage sales and purchase ledgers, invoicing, supplier payments, and bank reconciliations.
  • Administer payroll and pension submissions.
  • Manage credit control and customer accounts.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and management reports.
  • Support budgeting, year‑end accounts, and external accountants.
  • Ensure compliance with financial procedures and identify opportunities to improve finance processes.
About You

You’ll have:
Previous experience in an accounts, bookkeeping or finance administration role.

  • Experience with payroll, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and credit control.
  • Excellent Excel, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and manage priorities.
  • Someone who enjoys working independently, takes ownership of their work and isn’t afraid to ask questions
  • AAT qualified or studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent.
  • Experience with in engineering, manufacturing, utilities, construction, or service industries.
