Location: Cardiff (Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office)
Salary: £37,000 – £45,000 (Negotiable depending on depth of experience)

The OpportunityGreystone Consulting Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation based in Cardiff to recruit a Management Accountant.
This is an excellent opportunity for either a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or a part-qualified accountant looking to continue their professional development within a supportive finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing accurate financial information, supporting business decision‑making and ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities- Produce monthly management accounts, providing insightful commentary on financial performance.
- Review and reconcile all balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Prepare and post month‑end journals.
- Reconcile weekly revenue and COS, working closely with the Operations team to correct any issues identified.
- Supervise and mentor the Accounts Assistant.
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks performed by Accounts Assistant.
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
- Reconcile and make Monthly PAYE payments.
- Process Monthly Payroll.
- Oversee and Authorise Weekly payment runs.
- Oversee the Credit Control process undertaken by Accounts Assistant
- Support the annual audit process, acting as the primary contact for external auditors.
- Assist with year‑end P11D preparation and compliance.
- Support continuous improvement of finance processes and controls.
- Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, has excellent attention to detail and is comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification.
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role.
- Experience preparing monthly management accounts.
- Payroll processing experience.
- Good understanding of accruals, prepayments and journal postings.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workload effectively.
- Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero etc.
- Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting.
- Previous experience working within a commercial business.
