An excellent opportunity has arisen with a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Cardiff, currently seeking an Audit Assistant Manager to join their expanding team, working in partnership with Crowe Watson Recruitment, offering flexible working, a strong company pension, and much more. The successful candidate will take on a varied and rewarding role, working closely with Audit Managers and Partners across a diverse portfolio of clients spanning multiple sectors.

You will play a key part in planning, executing, and finalising audits, while also supporting the development of junior team members.

What is the day-to-day of the role:

  • Planning, executing, and completing audit assignments across a varied client portfolio
  • Managing and reviewing the work of junior team members on-site and remotely
  • Liaising directly with clients to build strong working relationships
  • Reporting audit findings to Partners and Managers with clear recommendations
  • Supporting the training and development of trainee and junior staff

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent
  • Previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
  • Strong technical audit knowledge, including UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to manage and develop junior staff
