About UsHM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) administers criminal, civil and family courts and tribunals in England and Wales. We support court users and colleagues within HMCTS, enabling people and businesses to access justice.
Your Role- Contribute to operational, performance and service standards.
- Progress cases through the court/tribunal system and provide administrative support.
- Communicate with court/tribunal users, including members of the Judiciary and the legal profession.
- Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings.
- Creating and updating records on the in‑house computer system.
- Recording court results accurately and interpreting court file information.
- Checking and verifying documents, records and claims for approval.
- Collecting and assembling information for returns, reports and statistical analysis.
- Communicating with the public, the Judiciary and other court and tribunal users.
- Friendly and approachable with excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- IT proficiency and ability to learn new technologies.
- Excellent organisational skills.
Occasional court attendance will be required on an ad‑hoc basis.
Working ArrangementsStandard full‑time hours are 37 hours/week. Part‑time, flexible and job‑sharing patterns are welcomed. Hybrid working may be arranged where business needs allow, with a minimum of 60% office presence.
