Position: Programme Management Office (PMO) Co-ordinator (SRS)

The Student Record System (SRS) Programme is a multi-year, institution-wide initiative to replace our core student data infrastructure with a modern, integrated suite of best-in-class systems. Spanning a new student record system, admissions platform, international compliance automation, and curriculum management system; all connected through a Central Data Hub

This programme will fundamentally improve how students, staff, and partners experience Cardiff Met.

You will provide proactive, high-quality coordination and administrative support to the Programme Manager, PMO Lead, and wider programme team. From maintaining the RAID log and programme plan to coordinating governance meetings and supporting budget tracking, your contribution will be felt across every workstream. You will also provide line management to the SRS Programme Administrator, and step up to lead the day-to-day PMO function when the PMO Lead is absent.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a key role by:

  • Providing senior administrative and co-ordination support to the Programme Manager and project teams across all SRS work streams.
  • Leading the co-ordination of programme workshops, governance meetings, and stakeholder engagement activities, including agenda design, facilitation logistics, and post-event action tracking.
  • Maintaining and actively managing the programme RAID log, ensuring risks, issues, actions, and dependencies are kept current and escalating items where thresholds are met.
  • Co-ordinating the collation of progress updates from workstream leads and producing draft programme reports for the PMO Lead/Manager, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all work streams.
  • Maintaining programme budget tracking records, supporting procurement and purchase order processes as required.
  • Acting as day-to-day point of contact for workstream teams on PMO queries, providing guidance on tools, templates, and governance processes.
Qualifications

What you’ll bring

You will bring solid coordination and administrative experience from a professional environment, with the organisational skills and attention to detail needed to keep a complex programme running smoothly.

You will have a collaborative and positive approach to teamwork, good written and verbal communication skills, and strong IT proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite.

You’ll also have:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling documents, logs, and data.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including confidence preparing meeting notes and reports.
  • Experience of project management terminology and tools.
  • Experience of guiding or supporting the work of others, whether through formal line management, mentoring, or leading a small team or workstream.
