Clerical Officer (AO) - Tribunal Support
Location: Cardiff (Fully Onsite)
Salary: £12.86 per hour, rising to £13.25 after 12 weeks
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary, 6 months with potential extension
Start Date: ASAP
Clearance Required: Basic DBS
Role OverviewWe are recruiting for a Clerical Officer to support the day-to-day running of tribunal hearings. The role is primarily focused on hosting hearings, ensuring that proceedings run smoothly, and providing general administrative support.
Key Duties- Hosting tribunal hearings, including:
- Showing attendees into hearing rooms
- Ensuring all required equipment is set up and functioning properly
- Preparing papers and files for hearings, meetings, and tribunals
- Clerking duties within tribunal settings
- Managing the hearing environment and supporting judges and legal professionals
- Updating and maintaining records on internal systems
- Opening and dispatching post
- Handling telephone enquiries
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- General administrative support including scanning, filing, and photocopying
- Strong communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Reliable and flexible approach to work
- Willingness to learn and support a variety of tasks
- Ability to work in a structured environment and follow processes
- Fully onsite role based in Cardiff
- On-the-job training provided
- No parking available on site
