An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual to join the Adult Services Social Care Training and Development Team based at County Hall, Cardiff.
In line with the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014, the Social Care Training and Development Team is committed to the continuous development and encouragement of its staff to reach their full potential so that they feel empowered with the necessary skills, knowledge, and confidence to provide our citizens with the best possible collaborative, person-centred care and support.
About the jobThe successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Adult Services Social Care Training and Development Team, more specifically the administration of the student intakes for the Supported Social Work Degree. The successful candidate will also be covering a wide range of other duties including overseeing the team mailbox, SAP orders and payment of invoices, minute taking, database management, updating and maintaining registers and providing general administrative support to Training Officers and Service Users where necessary.
What We Are Looking For From YouYou will have experience of working in an office setting as well as the ability to work flexibly and adaptably to changing priorities. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be experienced in working to agreed standards and deadlines. You must be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. Experience in maintaining databases and experience in working with software packages, including Microsoft Office, would be advantageous.
We are looking for someone who is committed to their own learning and development and is willing to undertake further training opportunities when identified.
The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, and Community Languages would be an advantage.
Additional informationThis post is full-time, 37 hours per week on a permanent basis, to commence as soon as possible.
