Cardiff and Vale College is seeking a proactive, highly organised and detail-focused Management Information Assistant to join our Management Information Systems (MIS) team. The successful candidate will provide administrative and data processing support, helping to maintain accurate learner, curriculum and timetable information to support the effective delivery of College provision.

Working closely with the Faculty Management Information Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring data is accurate, up to date and compliant with College procedures.

This post is offered on a part-time basis, with hours currently under review. There may be an opportunity for additional hours following the completion of this review, which will be discussed further at interview.

What You'll Do

You will support the day-to-day operation of the MIS function by maintaining and updating learner, course and timetable data within College systems. The role includes processing routine changes, carrying out data quality checks, supporting curriculum and timetable maintenance, and assisting with enrolment and other key operational activities.

You will also respond to routine queries from faculty teams, provide guidance on standard processes and ensure records are maintained accurately and efficiently.

About You

You will be an organised and motivated individual with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality administrative support.

You should have:

  • A Level 2 qualification, or equivalent experience, in a data, systems or administrative discipline.
  • Experience of working to deadlines within a busy environment.
  • Experience of working with management information systems.
  • Confidence using IT systems and standard office software, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
  • The ability to work independently, follow established processes and escalate issues appropriately when required.

Welsh language skills would be advantageous, although we welcome applications from candidates willing to develop their Welsh language skills.
