Our client, a reputable and well-established franchise‑approved car dealership in Cardiff, is seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join their busy Service Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Vehicle Technicians looking to enhance their career within a professional and driven team environment. The Vehicle Technician role offers a competitive salary, attractive bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Benefits- £29,500-£38,800 per annum, based on experience
- Bonus scheme ranging from £5,200 to £10,400 per annum, dependent on performance
- Paid overtime at 1.5x rate, subject to availability
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Full in‑house and manufacturer‑approved training programmes

- Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am - 1:00pm
- Carry out fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs adhering to manufacturer standards
- Ensure vehicles are repaired to the highest quality while maintaining safety and reliability standards
- Accurately diagnose faults and communicate findings effectively to the Workshop Controller
- Report on vehicle condition, safety, and performance status
- Adhere strictly to health and safety procedures and client policies
- Maintain productivity and meet team targets in a busy workshop environment
- Support team members with technical expertise and uphold dealership standards
- Fully qualified Vehicle Technician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
- Current and valid MOT licence (preferred but not essential)
- Hold a valid UK driving licence
- Live within a reasonable commute of Cardiff
- Demonstrate a high level of motivation, commitment, and teamwork
- Capable of producing high‑quality work consistently
- Knowledge of fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs within manufacturer guidelines
